"I first realized my love for photography when I was about 10 years old..."
My name is Tony Gillilan. I own a home in a small town in Southern California. I have been married to the love of my life for over 20 years, and have two wonderful girls.
I am a veteran of the United States Marine Corps - Oorah. I am a staunch supporter of the military and their families. I regularly think about and pray for the men and women that are in harms way.
I first realized my love for photography when I was about 10 years old. In high school, I was the yearbook photographer, and really learned great skills including film development, and printing. I carried a camera almost every day in school (something I still do to this day). Later in life I discovered large format photography, the same gear that was used by the legendary Ansel Adams. It was this period in my photography journey that really taught me how to take my time and carefully frame each shot. I still own and use my large format gear, and can still be found under a black cloth from time to time. When I converted to digital in 2003, I found it very easy to create and capture artistic shots because of my skills in the large format film world.
I shot my first wedding in the summer of 2003, and soon realized that the combination of beautiful people and beautiful scenery was something I enjoyed capturing. Today, with years of experience I still get excited on my way to every wedding. Truth be told, I will probably have more fun at your wedding than you will, and you are paying me to be there ;)
